My Super N64 Controller

Okay I just lost at a super smash tournament and I don't like losing. So here is my new project. I want to build an N64 controller that you can download macros to over usb. I plan on removing the main controller chip, the MX1720FC and replacing it with an FPGA or microcontroller. To get the usb functionality I will use an existing USB to N64 adapter which clearly must have bidirectional data transfer to read buttons and do rumble. The first step is tracing the N64 controller circuit board and making a schematic. I will post results as soon as I'm done.
